Mainly Music
Mainly Music was started in 1990 in Aotearoa, New Zealand. They provide a time and place where young children and their carers find delight in shared experiences through music and play, are accepted for who they are, and grow educationally. They do 2 kinds of programs for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers; one with a music focus and one with a play focus.
Each session provides education and development outcomes, an opportunity for children to enjoy an enhanced attachment experience with their family, and for carers to receive parenting tuition by example. There is a strong sense of ‘it takes a village to raise a child’. With guidance by volunteers from local churches, families are given the chance to think about the God-part of life in a loving, sharing environment that welcomes everyone.
